Laptop Buying Guide for India?

  • College & Daily Tasks (₹35,000 – ₹50,000): You needn’t spend a large amount of money in order to carry out homework or browse the internet. A laptop with an i3 or Ryzen 5 processor will be more than adequate for the task. It’s important that the device has an SSD installed so that it can start up quickly. Aim for at least 8GB of RAM; ideally, however, choose 16GB if you always have a million browser tabs open so that the machine won’t freeze.
  • Working on the Go (₹60,000 – ₹1,00,000): If you're traveling for work or otherwise frequently moving about, all you really need is a laptop that is light and has an excellent battery; models such as the MacBook Air M2 or the slim Dell laptops are ideal in this regard since they can last all day on one charge and therefore mean you don't have to pack your heavy charger in your bag.
  • Gaming and Video Editing: Basic laptops will just stop working if you try to play games or edit videos on them. You need to get one that has a graphics card like an RTX. Also check for a screen that says 120Hz or 144Hz. This just means the screen changes pictures faster making all the quick movement, in games look really smooth.
